BBC Broadcasting House

As a member of the small team of mechanical services design engineers for the multi-million dollar Broadcasting House refurbishment project, we completed designs and quality controlled the installation of air conditioning climate control of the general offices areas, RPR Apparatus Room, RF Head-end and File Server Rooms.

Refurbishment designs, specifications, detailed drawings and project management of the infrastructure risers, plant rooms and the fit-out requirements for open plan offices, cellular offices and computer server rooms were also completed.

Rooftop plant was hidden from view and building management control system expanded and developed to incorporate new graphics pages.

We successfully designed and coordinated:

- Active and passive chilled beam and chilled ceiling systems

- Constant and variable flow air supply systems

- Compensated and constant temperature pumped LPHW radiator circuits

- Heat exchanger, AHU, boiler and chiller plantroom systems and installation

- Acoustic treatment to ensure broadcast areas of BBC were not affected
